Received as his share of his father's estate the farm now occupied by the heirs of Samuel Yerty. He married Miss Elizabeth Fisher, a lady of English birth, and the result of this union was the following named children: Mark F. (deceased), George (living in West Pike Run township), John (who died in Illinois), Jacob (living in West Pike Run township, Mary (deceased wife of David Jenkins, and the mother of Capt. George Jenkins, now of West Pike Run township), Catherine (who was married in Illinois to Jehu Graves, and died without issue), and Elizabeth (married to Samuel Heaton). The father of this family died in 1851, the mother a few years earlier.

George Deems died intestate, file 21, May 21, 1856 Washington County Court House, washinton, PA. An agreement dated September 1852, signed by the children agreed to forgo intrest owed to George by some of his children that had borrowed money from him. Jacob Deems was the administrator of hs estate. Children signing the partition were: Sarah Bishop (husbands first name was Bishop), George Deems, Catherine Deems, Jacob Deems, Mark F Deems, Mary Jenkins (husband is David), John Deems, Catherine Deem and Elizabeth Heaton (husband is Samuel).

Marriage*He married Elizabeth Fisher between 1800 and 1805.
