ELVA B. DICKSON Elva B. Dickson, 1815 Avery Street, Parkersburg, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Monday. She was born in Mineral Wells, a daughter of the late Washington Lafayette and Frances Holland Deem. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers, Leah Ruth Circle, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 14, and the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was retired from the C & P Telephone Company with 43 years service. She is survived by one daughter Celesta Dickson, with whom she made her home; one -son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Helen Dickson of Mineral Wells, four grandchildren, Mrs. Ronald (Jennifer) Walker of Frankfurt, Germany, Scott Dickson of Columbus, Ohio, Jim Dickson and Kathy Dickson both at home; one sister, Kathryn Coe of Vienna; one brother, Stewart Deem of Chesapeake, Va., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Dickson, in 1972. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home., Parkersburg with Evangelist Charles Aebi officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today and, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of service on Thursday.
