OBITUARY - PARKERSBU7RG NEWS WALTER H. DEEM
Walter H. Deem, 74, Route 1, died in Camden Clark Memorial Hospital Sunday morning. He was born in Wood County, a son of the late W. L. and Frances Holland Deem, and attended Union Valley Baptist Church, was a retired farmer and timberman. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann Black Deem, one son, Peter Deem of Columbus. Ga.. two daughters, Mrs. Pearle Johnson of Grantsville; and Mrs. Martha E. Dawson of Friendly; two brothers, Clark of Parkersburg and Stewart of Chesapeake, Va., four sisters, Mrs. Nora Robbins of Washington, Mrs. Marion Phillips, Cairo, Mrs. Elva Dickson of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Kathryn Coe of Vienna; a step-mother, Mrs. Roxie Deem of Parkersburg; a half-brother, Basil Deem, U.S. Air Force, a step-brother, Bernie Butler of Parkersburg, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Snider officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. 
Burial*He was buried on 19 April 1978 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Chesterville, Wood County, WV.
