Moses Deem. 59, died Thursday morning at 3:15 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Delbert Sams of Marrtown Hill. He had been ill for some time, and death resulted from a heart attack. Mr. Deem was a barber by occupation and followed his trade in Parkersburg and South Side. He spent his life in Wood County. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Life Gospel Tabernacle on Division street, South Side, with burial to follow in Foley Cemetery. The remains will be at the Kimes mortuary until the funeral. Mr. Deem's wife died 11 years ago. He leaves seven daughters, Mrs. Helen Sams, Mrs. George Kirk, Mrs. Lambert Stewart, and Elma, Audrey, Velma and Eleanor Deem, and two sons, Walter and Delbert Deem, all of Parkersburg and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Gratney Stuckey of Vienna. Mrs. Bessie Matheny of Coolville, Ohio, Mrs. Grace Smith, Mrs. Minnie Harper and Mrs. Letha Valentine. all of this city.10
