She was born in Wood Co. WV. the daughter of the late George Edward Kirk and Juanita Faye Deem Kirk Davis of Washington WV.
She was a 1950 graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired after 39 years service at the Parkersburg National Bank which is now United Bank. She was a Past member of the Parkersburg Business and Professional Womens Club and the Parkersburg Chamber of Commerce where she served on several committees. She was a graduate of the West Virginia School of Banking and also worked on the Parkersburg High School Class of 1950 reunion committee. She was a faithful member of the DuPont Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her Mother she is survived by her Brothers and Sisters, Harold Kirk and his wife Margie of Watertown, OH. Jean Bird and her husband Russell of Washington, WV. Bill Kirk of Belpre, OH. George Richard Kirk and his wife JoAnn of Washington, WV. Jerry Kirk and his wife Judy of Leesburg, FL. Wayne Kirk and his wife Marilyn of Washington, WV. Romie Kirk and his wife Eleanor of Lowell, OH. Macel McGinnis and her husband Carroll of Cairo, WV. Edna Mae Dailey and her husband Don of Lubeck, WV. and John Kirk of Washinton, WV. She was a lifelong member of Washington WV. and was affectionately known as “Aunt Jakey” to all of her Special Nieces and Nephews and many friends.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Kirk.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 Am the the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Gene Hutton officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 Pm and Friday from 10:00 Am until service time.1
