He was born June 17, 1915, in Wood County, a son of the late Charles and Della Stephens Brown. He was retired from the Union Carbide Company as a pipe fitter. Forrest was the oldest living member of the Limestone United Methodist Church, where he was active in the church and with the Church Cemetery Association. He enjoyed working and farming on his home place, helping his neighbors and was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by one daughter, Betty Adams of Canal Winchester, Ohio; one son and his wife, Charles and Brenda Brown of Grantsville, W.Va; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Forrest was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine States Brown; his son-in-law, Paul Adams; one brother Melvin; sister-in-law Elizabeth Brown; and a special aunt, Ronna Stephens.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Limestone United Methodist Church, Rockport, with the Rev. Marilyn Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at the Limestone Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, and one hour prior to the services Sunday at the church.1
