She was born in Slate, W.Va., a daughter of the late Early "Jake" Allman and Effie Belle Deem Allman.
Betty retired from Corning Glass and was a 1940 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She attended Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville and was a member of the Beulah Hill Presbyterian Church in Wirt County.
Surviving is a grandson, Aaron Hathaway of Charleston; a granddaughter, Anne Longworth of Cincinnati; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Hathaway, and a brother, Earl Allman.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastors Bill Angel and Mike Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.3
