Brown, 81, Rockport, Wood County, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at his home, following an extended illness. He was a member of the Limestone Methodist Church and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, Rockport Council 106. Mr. Brown was a son of the late William, and Susan Miller Brown. Surviving him are two sons, Melvin E. Brown, Vienna, and Forrest C. Brown, Rockport: a brother, Earl Brown; a sister-in-law Ms. Ronna Stephens; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife Della Stephens Brown, and two brothers, W. Fred & John. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Limestone Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Franklin Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.2 |
