Obituary* | His obituary published on 2 May 2011 at Beaver County Times, Beaver, PA; Daniel Paul Deem, 93, of Industry, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Friendship Ridge, Brighton Twp., following an extended illness. Born December 28, 1917, in Industry, he was the son of the late Daniel W. and Mary Jane Hogue Deem and had been a resident of Industry all of his life. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he had served with Company B, Artillery during World War II where he had earned 4 Bronze Stars. He retired after 24 years from Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland and was an avid gardener. A member of the Beaver County Fruit and Growers Association, he loved to spend time in the garden and he had a tremendous passion for John Deere tractors. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Marion Louisa Reeder Deem, in 1967; his second wife, Marion Watson Deem, in 1989, and three brothers, Thomas, George, and David Deem. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Chester and Wilhelmina "Willie" Deem, Ambridge; a daughter, Rhonda Joyce Deem, with whom he resided; a sister, Mary Jane Haag, Industry; two grandchildren, Susanne (Tim) Bowser, Industry, Paul W. Deem, Baden; three great-grandchildren, Skylar and Rachael Ganter, James Daniel Bowser, numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friends, Martin and Heather Volkar, Industry. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver., where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Pastor David Paulovich, pastor of Maranatha Chapel, East Liverpool, OH. The Beaver County Special Unit will offer full military rites at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
