James Gerald Coe, 73, of Vienna, died Wednesday evening at the St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Rockport, a son of Dixie Counts Coe of Marietta, Ga; and the late William R. Coe. He was a retired farmer, trucker and riverboat captain and was a member of the farm bureau. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kathryn Deem Coe; six daughters, Jackie Wright of Cottageville, Jean Ruble and Lois Goodrich, both of Parkersburg, Juliet Black of Wilmington, N. C.. Sharon Foster of Shepherdstown, and Wendy Coe of Charleston; two brothers, Walter Coe of San Antonia, Texas and Harry Coe of Parkersburg, seven sisters, Lenora Hansen of New Orleans, Pauline Bradley of Virginia Beach, Va, Irene Johnson and Lillian Lemon, both of Parkersburg, and Gerogia Murray of Elizabeth, and Eldora Reeder of Florida; we grandchildren and 11 g. grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter Nancy Ellen Coe; two brothers, one half brother and one half sister. Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Denzil Proudfoot officiating. Burial will be in he Mount Zion Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Friends may call at the funeral home.
