She was born Nov. 7, 1940, a daughter to the late Yancey and Ruth Enoch. She was born and raised through her pre-teen years in Vienna, where she attended Vienna Baptist Church. Sue was a 1958 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She served in the United States Air Force, where she attended weather schooling at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Ill. Sue retired from E.I. DuPont with 22 years of dedicated service. She was a talented artist, cook and cake decorator, an avid reader and a collector of Nutcrackers.

Surviving are her five children, Dr. Jeffrey Peterson of Chicago, Ill., Charles Peterson Jr. and wife, Brandi, of Charleston, W.Va., Tami Hammel and husband, Jay, of Parkersburg, Patrick Peterson of St. Charles, Mo., and Jennifer Bartlett and husband, Lewis, of Parkersburg. Also surviving are her four brothers, Roger Dean Enoch, Robert (Doni) Enoch, Kenneth (Jackie) Enoch and Timothy (Deena) Enoch, all of Parkersburg. Sue's greatest joy was spending time with her 10 grandchildren, Charles and Cassandra Hammel, Holly, Allyson, Shayne and Ryan Peterson, James Ault and Jake Bartlett, and Sarah Dye and Benjamin Peterson. In addition, Sue will be sadly missed by her first husband and friend, Charles Peterson Sr. and wife, Mildred, of Valley Cottage, N.Y; by her beloved dog, Buffy; and her cat, Joe.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity Episcopal Church in Parkersburg, which will be announced. There will be a visitation with viewing from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg.
