He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Carl Chadock and Ethel Deem Jenkins and was retired from Borg Warner. He was a lifelong member of Wayside United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Pierson (David) of North Carolina and Connie Jo Vance (Boone) of Columbus; four grandchildren, Jason Flynn, Eric Pierson, Wendy Carder and Stefani Pierson; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou Pitts of Vienna and Beatrice Dowler of California; two brothers, James E. Jenkins of Vienna and Carl Chadock of Georgia.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Florence Hart Deem in 1998, one brother and two sisters.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wayside United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Michael C. Richards and Rev. Sandy Runion officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayside United Methodist Church or Wayside food pantry at 3001 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, WV 26105.
