Deem, age 52. of 1110 Williams Street, died Thursday night at 11:15 o'clock in the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. For the past thirteen years he had been employed with the American Viscose Company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola Deem, and the following children: Howard A. Deem of Wheeling; Mrs. Kathleen Kirnes of South Parkersburg; Mrs. Frances Rogers of this city; Earl Deem of Wichita, Kansas, and Doris, Mary Ann and Lloyd Deem, all at home. Also surviving are two step-daughters, his father and stepmother, Mrs. and Mrs. W. L. Deem and the following brothers and sisters: Walter H. and K. A. Deem, both of South Parkersburg, H. Clark Deem, Basil Ray Deem, Mrs. Eugene Emerick and Mrs. Elvia B. Dickinson, all of this city; Mrs. Burl Phillips of Cairo; Mrs. S. F. Robbins of Washington, W. Va; Mrs. J. B. Coe of Parkersburg, Route 4, and Stewart A. Deem of Portsmouth, Va. His mother, one sister and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Mt. Zion Baptist church with the Rev. Irene Easter Lovett and the Rev. T. B. Turley officiating. Interment will be the the church cemetery. The body will remain at the Shaver and Son Funeral home until time for the services.3 |
