OBITUARY PARKERSBURG NEWS - SATURDAY, MAY 6, 1972
Funeral services for W. Paul Deem. 71, of Mineral Wells, who died in Camden Clark Memorial Hospital yesterday morning, will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Longbon and the Rev. Clifford Phillips will officiate, with burial to be in Mt .Pleasant Cemetery. He was born in Wood County, Jan. 7, 1901, son of the last Cyrus and Eltha Page Deem. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant U.M. Church and the Lions Club at Mineral Wells. He had resided in Wood County all his life and had been employed by West Virginia Community Action for the past five years, and had previously farmed. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Deem, one son, Charles E. of Mineral Wells, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wherry of Rolling Meadows, Ill., and Mrs. Martha Elaine Leach of Veto, Ohio, two brothers, Rufus of Deland, Fla, and Roy of Loma Linda, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Susie Hoffman of Mineral Wells, Mrs. Louise Connor of Pt. Pleasant and Mrs. Mary Province of Kent, Ohio; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Leavitt Funeral Home. 
Burial*He was buried on 7 May 1972 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mineral Wells, Wood County, WV.
