| Note* | Dorothy Virginia Deems THE DEEMS CONNECTION 16th EDITION Dorothy Virginia Deems Leasure 80 of Herminie, died wednesday, February 19, 1997 at her home. She was born July 10, 1916 in Monongahela, PA., a daughter of Elmer R and Iona Phillips Deems. Mrs. Leasure was a homemaker and a mother. She was a member of the Herminie United Methodist Church and the Madison Golden Agers. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband, Jacob D. Leasure in 1980 and a grandson, greg mowery. Mrs Leasure is survived by a son, Deems L. and his wife Kathe Leasure of Salinas, California; two daughters Mrs. Rowan D. (Shirley) Hopkin of Herminie and Mrs. Larry (Arlene) Mowrey of Sunbury, PA., 10 grandchildren, 18 g.grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William (Milred) Smith of Marietta, PA; and numerous nices and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. David S. Lake, officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. After the funeral 86 friends and family members were served a delicious dinner at the Herminie Church by Dorothy's friends. Just as Dorothy had helped bereaved familes many times. It is consoling to know she was known and loved by so many people. |
