He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Dale Francis and Audra E. Deem Lemon. He was a member of the Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church, where he worked with the Nursing Home Ministry. He had worked as a piano sales manager with Pied Piper at the Huntington Mall and formerly worked at Laughery Organ Center at the Grand Central Mall.
He was a member of the FMC Sportsman Club, enjoyed hunting and fishing and had been Pastor of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Culloden, W.Va. He also served in the United States Navy.
Surviving is his wife, Patti Kaye Thompson Lemon and his daughter, Rachel Marie Lemon at home; two brothers, Tom Lemon of Parkersburg and Michael Lemon of Vincent, Ohio; two sisters, Dottie Gearhart and Cherly Topolski Deem, both of Belpre; several nieces and nephews; and his father and mother-in-law, Lester ''L.V.'' and Betty Thompson of Larkmead.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Landmark Baptist Church. Pastor Jerry Caplinger, Pastor John Duffy and Pastor Michael Lamb will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 15. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at The Kimes Funeral Home of 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg and one hour prior to services at the church.2
